What an absolutely brilliant morning of swimming from Sophia! Stepping up to your first Nationals is pretty daunting and the nerves are always high, but Sophia was calm and composed, had a good warm up and approached the race with positivity and maturity.
From an outside lane, Sophia raced hard to finish 5th in the heat, 12th 13 year old and 29th overall in the competitive 13/14 girls age group.

A fantastic swim for Sophia in the 100 Free this morning, pretty much bang on PB and second fastest swim she’s ever done; despite the nerves and the 3 days away from home! 14th 13 year old and 31st overall; what an absolutely fantastic achievement. 
We are all so proud of how Sophia controlled the nerves and stepped up on the biggest stage, representing herself and her Club with absolute class.
