Altrincham Swimming Club was formed in 1992 and is based at Altrincham Leisure Centre. The club has grown in size over the years and has a track record of producing top class National Level swimmers. We also encourage our swimmers to give back to the club and now have many former swimmers coaching for us.
Altrincham SC is based at Altrincham Leisure Centre. Altrincham is on the fringe of the Manchester conurbation and has easy access to the countryside. Within its immediate vicinity are well known locations such as Hale, Hale Barns, Bowdon, Timperley and Dunham.
We are a competitive club and participate in the local leagues and our swimmers enter the Open Events in the Local Associations, Cheshire County, and the North West Region. We are a development club and an integral part of Trafford Leisure Trust swimming pathway that aims to support swimming at all levels from learning to swim to elite club competitors.
We are a Swim England Swim Mark accredited club and are proud to have been awarded both Swim England North West Club of the Year and Swim England National Club of the Year in 2023.
