If you are interested in becoming a member of the Club, please complete the Trial Application form and we will be in touch.

The next trial for swimmers aged 7-9 years will be Spring 2025; if you have submitted a trial application form, you will be contacted nearer the time.

Should you be age 10 years or over you must be nearing or achieving County times which can be found here.

Thank you for your interest

The Club participates in a range of internal and external galas throughout the year.

We can offer limited number entry assessments periodically, please look out for emails from us, including checking your junk mail as, in the past, we have had some issues with emails going into junk folders.

Any emails received which have an aggressive tone will not be dealt with and could lead to your child's trial place being retracted.

In the event of a swimmer not being offered a place at the Club following an assessment, one further assessment can be attended after a minimum of six months after the first assessment, in order to give the swimmer sufficient time to improve.

Standard Required For Entry to the Club:-

The average age for new members is 7-9 years old and they will have reasonable technique in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, be developing butterfly skills, and a good level of fitness. Level 6-7 of Swim Well, taught by Trafford Leisure, or similar learn to swim scheme, is usually sufficient.

Older swimmers (aged 10-14) should be of a County standard (although this is not essential dependent upon age, current skills, and level of commitment) and already training in a competitive environment – usually training at another Club but moving into the Trafford area.  They should be within 15% of achieving Cheshire County swimming times on freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, with strong technique.  Older swimmers should also be keen to swim competitively and have had some experience of competitive swimming.

Swimmers aged 15 and above must be at County standard and, again, already training in a competitive environment – their potential to achieve Regional standard will be fundamental to them being offered a place within the Club.

If you would like your swimmer(s) to attend an assessment for entry to the Club, please complete the online Application Form and we will be in touch. If your swimmer(s) is/are aged 11+, please either include their Swim England Membership Number, or details of their PBs, in the “swimming experience” box on the application form, without these details your swimmer(s) will not be invited for trial with the Club.

Spaces on the assessment sessions are limited and cannot be booked without the completed online Application Form.

Due to a number of swimmers not attending booked trials, once a trial date has been offered and accepted, if the swimmer does not attend on the trial day without previously informing us of their absence, a further trial will not be offered.
