Our swimmers produced another fantastic day of racing at the Richmond Dales Summer Meet, finishing the competition with an outstanding 47 medals:

14 Gold 18 Silver 15 Bronze (list in comments)

 

We also gave out a number of ducks  to recognise swims that deserve a special mention for outstanding performances, courage and improvement.

Idris – PBs in every one of his 50m events

Toby – 50 Butterfly

Xander – 50 Freestyle (a brilliant swim that deserved special recognition!)

 

A huge thank you to Coaches Leah and John, who supported the swimmers so brilliantly throughout the weekend. Thank you also to all of our dedicated officials, whose hard work makes competitions like this possible, and to our fantastic team managers, John and Matt, for keeping everything running smoothly and looking after the team so well.

 

This was our final team gala of the 2025/26 season, and what a way to finish.

 

The resilience this group has shown over the past year has been exceptional. Despite the frustrations of pool closures and losing valuable training time at the start of the season, our swimmers never stopped working, never stopped believing and have finished the year stronger than ever. They should all be incredibly proud of what they have achieved. We have no doubt that resilience and determination will continue to pay off as we move into next season.

 

There’s just one more meet before the summer break. We can’t wait to see Sophia represent Altrincham SC at the English Summer National Championships after working so hard to earn her place. Everyone at the club will be cheering her on.
