Amazing swimming from our fantastic team at this meet this weekend: a really high level meet they absolutely held their own, swimming out of their skins. Sunday was a day of highs and lows with the older swimmers exhausted with many starting GCSEs this week, whilst simultaneously hitting the end of another long National Window. Losing your spot in the window at any point is pretty brutal and we had a number of our high achieving swimmers in this situation this weekend, the last weekend of the window.
Whilst it’s painful now, know that you did the Club proud, so hold your head high and get ready to go again for the end of the season and into next year. Your true success is not defined by 0.5 of a second on an arbitrary list; even though this period makes it feel like that. Despite the disappointment (and these are for many swimmers across the country, not personal to us) there were some amazing swims, amazing teamwork and we (well some of us ) made some new friends from the Isle of Man @iomswimteam
