We are pleased to be holding the Annual General Meeting 2024 at 5pm on Sunday 24 November 2024 at St Ambrose (Sports Hall), notice of the meeting has been sent out to all Club members via email.  At the AGM we will consider appointments to committee roles. If anyone is interested in being considered for a committee role, nominations should be made in writing (email is fine) by the proposer and a seconder to the Secretary not later than 21 days prior to the AGM. Both proposer and seconder must be a fully paid-up member of the Club and of Swim England at the time of the nomination. The nominee shall be required to indicate in writing his/her willingness to stand for election.

The current roles on the committee are the executive positions (Chairman, Secretary & Treasurer), Membership Secretary, Competition Secretary & Swim Mark Coordinator. We are also looking to add in additional roles as detailed below.  Any member entitled to vote at the AGM shall be entitled to put any proposal for consideration at the Annual General Meeting – if you would like to put a proposal forward, please send it, in writing (email is fine), to the Secretary not later than 21 days prior to the AGM.  We will publish the proposed resolutions and a list of the nominees for the Committee posts and a copy of the examined accounts to all Club members 14 days before meeting.

We would like to highlight a number of vacancies for the Committee.
1. Deputy Competition Secretary – a member to provide support to the Competition Secretary with entries for external Galas.
2. Social and Events Secretary – a member to take the lead on developing the Club social and event programme.
3. Junior Squad Representative – a member with swimmer/s currently in D1, D2 and Pre County.
4. General Committee Role – a member to support the members of the committee and the running of the Club.

In addition to the committee roles, we are looking to appoint a second Welfare Officer to assist Pete S. The full role is linked below but knowledge of safeguarding practices and a child-centred approach are desirable.  Ability to respond quickly to welfare issues and follow procedures is key to the role.
